This is the car as purchased.

This is some of the repair/restoration work done.

The floors were badly rusted.
This was hard to do having never welded before. The finished floor Up on blocks for a few months

This was a family project. I welded and did some mechanic work,
Judy sewed, and Jacob did just about everything else.

The inside of the gas tank was covered with
rust and varnish. Because of the tank design we had to
cut the top of the tank out to clean the inside. We then
applied POR 15 tank sealer to rust proof the tank. The top
was welded back on, the tank inverted and some more sealer
poured into the tank to seal the inside of the top.
We spent $30 for the sealer, $475 for the welder, and about
30 hours labor. A new tank cost $140.
Jacob said "Think of the money we saved."

The car left the barn under it's own power on 5/31/02.
